Do guests have to install an app?
No. After scanning the QR code, they open souveil in their phone's browser — no download from the App Store or Google Play required. It works just like a normal website. They can add a shortcut to their home screen if they like, but it's not necessary.
You're a new company — what does that mean for us?
We're opening up to our first couples for the 2026 season. This means you get our full, dedicated attention — we reply to messages the same day, tailor details to your wedding, and provide live support on the day itself. The price for this season is fixed; it will increase in subsequent years.
What's the purchase process like? When do we get access?
After purchasing your package, you'll have access to your dashboard within minutes. You can launch your Save the Date and RSVP pages straight away. You can activate and configure the wedding day app from your dashboard whenever you're ready. We're here to help with the setup if you need us.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal or card payments. The exact options depend on your country and will be shown at the secure Paddle checkout.
Can we change our address after purchase?
Yes, you can change your address by contacting our support team. We'll check if the new name is available, make the change for you, and set up a redirect so your guests don't land on a broken page.
How long is the gallery stored for?
We store your gallery for one year from your wedding date, at no extra cost. During this time, you can download all the photos in a single archive to keep forever. We will never delete your gallery without notifying you first.
Can we use our own custom domain?
Yes. Instead of 'your-names.souveil.wedding', you can use your own domain. We'll guide you through the setup step-by-step and double-check that everything is working before you share the address with your guests.
How many photos can be uploaded?
There's no limit on the number of photos or storage space. We know you'll want to capture as many photos, videos, and small moments from your guests as possible, so we don't make you choose what to keep during the party. The final download contains the original, full-resolution files, not compressed versions.
How does the QR code work for guests?
You print the QR code on place cards, menus, a sign at the entrance, or small cards on the tables. A guest scans the code with their phone and is taken directly to the wedding day app: the timeline, photo gallery, guestbook, interactive games, and song requests.
How do we collect photos from guests after the wedding?
Guests add photos via the QR code gallery, either during or after the wedding. You see all the guest photos in one place, can choose which ones to make visible to everyone, and download all the files in a single archive.
Can we use souveil just for the RSVP or just for the gallery?
Yes. The package includes the entire ecosystem, but you can activate only the parts you need: the online RSVP before the wedding, the wedding day app on the day, or just the QR code photo gallery.
Can we send RSVP requests by email or text message?
Yes. With the RSVP tool, you can send guests a request to confirm their attendance by email or text. All their replies — along with dietary needs, accommodation, and transport details — are collected in your dashboard.
Can we request a feature or customisation that isn't in the package?
Yes, we're open to it. If you have an idea that would be perfect for your wedding, get in touch. We'll see if we can implement it as a new setting, a small customisation, or add it to our development roadmap.
What if our wedding is cancelled or postponed?
Postponing your date is free of charge. If the wedding is cancelled within 30 days of purchase, and you haven't sent your Save the Date or opened the gallery to guests, we'll issue a full refund. In other situations, just get in touch and we'll work out the best solution for you.
Does souveil replace a photographer?
We don't replace your photographer — we complement them. Your photographer captures the key moments: the ceremony, the portraits, the first dance. Through souveil, your guests add everything that happens outside the frame: the dance floor at 2 am, the laughter at the table, all the little candid scenes. More and more photographers are recommending this kind of solution to their couples.
How many guests does it work for?
The package has no strict guest limit — it works just as well for an intimate 30-person reception as it does for a larger wedding. We stress-test the app to handle many guests scanning the QR code at once. If you're planning a wedding for over 300 people, let us know and we'll double-check the configuration for your day.
Does the app work in English if we have international guests?
Yes. souveil is available in many languages. Guests can open the app in their own language. In your dashboard, you decide which language versions to make available and which elements you want to prepare bilingually (like the timeline, game descriptions, or gallery instructions).
What does the name souveil mean?
souveil is a blend of two words: 'souvenir', a keepsake and a memory in one, and 'veil'. It represents a place for all the keepsakes and memories from your wedding.
